EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) data is a set of information that is embedded in an image file (usually JPEG or TIFF) by digital cameras and smartphones when a photo is taken. It records technical details about the image, the camera settings, and sometimes even the location.

Here are some key details included in EXIF data:

Camera Information: Brand, model, and firmware version of the camera used.
Exposure Settings: Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and whether flash was used.
Focal Length: The lens focal length used to take the photo.
Date and Time: When the photo was taken.
Image Resolution: Dimensions in pixels and compression details.
GPS Data: If the camera has GPS capabilities, it can record the geographical location where the photo was taken.
Orientation: Information on how the camera was positioned (landscape or portrait).

Using Preview:

Open the image in Preview.
Click Tools > Show Inspector.
Click the i icon and select the Exif tab.
