TIP OF THE DAY: WHAT IS ‘BOKEH’?

Bokeh is the pleasing blur effect in photos where the background is out of focus, making the subject stand out. It's created by using lenses with wide apertures and is influenced by the lens design and focal length.
The word "bokeh" comes from the Japanese word "boke," which means "blur" or "haze." It was adapted into English to describe the aesthetic quality of the out-of-focus areas in a photograph.
