35MM AND 50MM PRIME LENSES

I am a huge advocate of prime lenses, some of my favorite primes are the 35mm and 50mm focal lengths. (By the way, if you are working with a crop sensor or APS-C camera, the focal lengths you should be choosing would be, 24mm and 35mm, respectively.)

Choosing a prime lens, which are lenses with a fixed focal length, comes with several advantages that make them popular among photographers and you should consider your specific needs and preferences when choosing a lens.  The following are some reasons why you might choose a prime lens:

  • Wide Aperture

  • Image Quality

  • Low Light Performance

  • Compact and Lightweight

  • Creativity and Composition

  • Faster Autofocus
